The Mauelshagen family originated in western Germany,
near the Sieg river,
in a land of rolling hills, small forests and fertile farmland.
Our branch of the Mauelshagen family left the Morsbach area before 1900,
to Wuppertal,
and then came to the United States of America around 1950.
