Ancestors of Samuel HUMFLEET
Having moved West from the mid-southern colonies in the early
1800s, this old Kentucky family lived on the Daniel Boone trail and worked hard
to setle the beautiful Cumberland region of southeastern Kentucky.
In Virginia and North Carolina, the spelling generally remained "Umfleet"
or a variation thereof.
